After many years in the industry, Mike Fox and Luke Ryan were very aware of the shortage of quality, affordable homes in NZ. So, Mike paired up with Luke and his late father, Dennis Ryan, to bring EasyBuild to life.
The pair’s mission was to give Kiwis the opportunity to build their own quality, energy-efficient new homes.
Luke and Dennis were decades ahead of their time. They came up with their original modular, homes concept in the late 1970s, after seeing the benefits of modular (sometimes referred to as prefabricated homes, transportable homes or kitset homes) overseas. They took the time to perfect the concept and built hundreds of new homes.
However, with a change in the market to bigger, more expensive homes, they paused production and focused on other building projects. But by 2015 it became clear that quality affordable housing was needed now more than ever in NZ.
EasyBuild Homes, as we know it today, was founded in 2015 by Mike and Luke, and the designs and materials were updated to suit modern living.
